A gang involved in a spurious cotton seed racket was busted on Friday and four members were arrested by Special Operations Team (SOT) sleuths of Rachakonda commissionerate. The sleuths seized Rs 50 lakh worth of stock.
Excise sleuths arrested a person manufacturing spurious liquor at LB Nagar. They intercepted Skoda and seized 30,000 bottle metal caps of a popular whiskey, three liters of rectified spirit and three liters of diluted liquor.

11 children in Ramnagar area of Udhampur district of Jammu have allegedly died after consuming spurious cough syrup. These deaths occurred between Dec 2019 and January 2020, according to a report in The Indian Express.
The police have busted a factory on the Pasina Kalan road near Panipat reportedly manufacturing spurious soft drinks. They have booked eight businessmen in this connection. Two of them have been arrested. The police on Sunday produced the accused in court, which sent them to seven-day police remand.
